Hi Everyone,
I feel like I haven’t reached out in a while. It has been a busy month, slow and fast at the same time. I became an aunt this month! My husband and I have been unpacking at our new place. It’s been a slow process, but coming along well. Life has just been busy lately. My writing life has slowed down and I miss it. It’s been a learning experience in balancing work and hobbies and personal life. I really can’t be any happier and I’m still writing. My output may slow down a bit, though. I’ll keep you updated!
With my personal update done, I’m going to dive into my writing :)
Son of Horus
Son of Horus is being released in less than a month!! October 25th is going to be here before I know it.
I’m thrilled to share the Son of Horus book cover! I love it. My cover designer did such a good job. And it pairs so well with the first in the series.
I am still looking for early readers to leave reviews. If you want an early copy of Son of Horus, let me know below
You can also leave a review for Daughter of Isis on Goodreads and/or Amazon. Reviews are important to indie authors and a free way you can support writers.
Publishing News
In other news, the New Albion series I participated in has the next volume out October 1.
I started this project last summer. This was the fourth in a collection of books created by writers. The Tales of the Year Between began during the original COVID quarantine in the United States. Writers from around the world got together online and played a D&D game to create their own world. Once the world was filled with characters and locations, the writers go off and write short stories taking place there. The books are a collection of short stories by these authors.
I had such a great time creating New Albion and writing in this world. It has inspired my upcoming Marredbury series, a serial anthology that takes place in a horror-themed town. But I’m getting off topic. New Albion grew into four volumes, each taking place in a different century. I have a short story in each volume and I guest edited the series. 1787 was released September 1. 1887 will be available by this weekend. Preorder your copy today!
Indie Highlight
I haven’t done an indie highlight in a while. I enjoy sharing books and stories by indie authors, and supporting other authors.
This month, I have a free copy of a novella by A.P. Mobley. This is the story about Persephone, one of my favorite Greek Myths. I’m not done yet, but I’ve enjoyed what I've read. I haven’t gotten to Persephone’s wrath, but it’s simmering!
That’s all from me for now. I hope you have a wonderful fall! I’m enjoying the cooler weather already. You’ll be hearing from me again as we get closer to the Son of Horus release.
