I’m back, happy May! It was a restful April. I spent time with my family, got some orgagnizing done on my house. This break actually came at an excellent time. My daughter started waking up early in the mornings, during my morning writing time. It took weeks to get her back on her normal routine (does a normal routine with a toddler even exist, or are they in the same category as dragons and unicorns?) I actually really enjoyed those mornings with my daughter. A coworker reminded me to embrace the change instead of fight it, and I really appreciate the advice. The first morning she slept in and I had to wake her up to take her daycare, I kind of missed our longer more relaxed mornings.

In writing related news, I am currently working on drafting. I hope to have at least two new drafts (at least) completed this year. Thank you to everyone who took the time to alpha read Marredbury. I compiled the feedback recently and the comments and suggestions are going to be invaluable through the revision process. For now, it’ll stay put away in my digital drawer, like resting meat.
