I can’t believe Son of Horus is launching tomorrow! This has been the first book launch I have done on my own. The first time around, I had the support of a hybrid publisher. It was reassuring to have a team available who had experience with publishing and there were also cons to going through a publisher instead of my own publishing house (a story for another time). This time around I was determined to do it on my own. I knew I could, but also knew it wouldn’t be easy. There were mistakes (the biggest one being that I don’t have a copy of my book in my hand right now! I ordered my proof too late… oops…), but this whole process is about experimenting, failing, and then trying again. As long as writing and publishing continues to bring happiness to my life, the challenges are worth it (and my husband can attest to how much writing brings me joy. I get cranky if I skip writing too often).
Thank you all for going on this journey with me. Your support makes the process that much easier and enjoyable. I can’t wait to hear what you think of the book. I’ve already had a blast here from some of you on social media about your preorders. Today’s the last day to preorder. Tomorrow, Son of Horus, will be here!
