Hi Everyone,
I can’t believe Christmas is here this weekend. It all came up so fast! (It doesn’t help that I am teaching all the way up to the 23rd… give extra love to the teachers in lives. It’s a rough week)

I have been working hard to get my newest series ready for you, “Marredbury.” The series will launch in early 2023. A very talented friend designed a couple logos for me for this series and I LOVE what she came up with. It really captures the horror feel of the town.
Buried by a volcano, Old Town Marredbury should be lost to the world, but New Marredbury can’t keep its secrets buried or the evil hidden.
Carla Bird works in IT and is surprised to be assigned a special project to decrypt files off of hard drives dug out of Colby Corp’s site in Old Town Marredbury. She doesn’t know what she expects to find, but she never would have guessed they were filled with stories of Old Town Marredbury:
Gigi Talcon grows strangely protective gardenias under her bedroom window. A night of recreational drug use comes with some unexpected side effects. Fiction, Carla believes, but she can’t help noticing some strange happenings in her new town.
Carla searches for answers, but only finds more questions, all leading back to Colby Corp. New Marredbury grows more sinister and Carla fears what Colby Corp would do to her if they discover she’s been digging through their secrets.
This serial anthology will take you on a thrill ride through a town marred by horror, told through a collection of short stories from the past and Carla’s ColbyStream in the future. MARREDBURY is a town like no other. Fans of NETFLIX’S FEAR STREET and SILVIA MORENO-GARCIA will enjoy these tales of terror.
I can’t wait to share this project with you guys! It’s been fun to write and experiment and I’m looking forward to hearing what you think of Marredbury.

I had so much fun talking to readers last week at the meet and greet for Son of Horus. Thank you to those who stopped by to say hi! I sold several books, a nice early Christmas present to me :)
It felt great celebrating Son of Horus and all the work it took to publish. If you haven’t already, leave a review on Amazon or Goodreads so the book can continue to find its way into readers’ hands.
If you don’t write reviews, you can still share the book with a friend you think will enjoy it. Your word of mouth is so powerful, especially for indie authors.
Indie Highlight
Speaking of word of mouth, I have an indie rec for you. I’m starting my New Year’s resolution a bit early. I hope to read more indie books rather than traditionally published books next year, to discover new authors and maybe find a couple new favorites 🤞
I am starting with a Secret Santa Exchange I have done the last couple of Christmas seasons with a group of indie authors. We each offer our books and provide the genre we like to read in and then the facilitator matches our book with another author. I enjoy the festive exchange of books :) This year I received Bloodstained Rose by Angie Titus. I’m a few chapters in and enjoying it so far. If you enjoy Wendy Webb, mixed with a bit of crime fiction, this book could be a match for you too.
I also have a collection of free indie books you can check out, a spooky holiday special for you. Click the picture below to browse the library of books. Some of the covers give me the creeps….
That’s all I have for you today. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I won’t say Happy New Year yet because you will hear from me again one last time next week. Enjoy your family time this weekend and happy reading :)
