For the last few years, I have been enjoying reviewing my read for the year with a few readers in my family in mind. I look for books I’d recommend to my sister or my mom. This year I added my cousin to the list! She’s been building her reading habit and sharing her reads. I thought of a book I love to recommend that she (hopefully) will enjoy.
Check out last year’s book list:
Now, I know it’s Februray. Apart from the fact that December is ridiculously busy and January disappeared before I had time to take a breath (anyone else just misplace January?), I didn’t get to see my cousin over the holidays. We scheduled a visit for after the New Year, but all of our schedules were already packed and it wasn’t until the end of the month that we could get together. So this post waited until after our visit. I didn’t want to ruin the surprise! (Hi Lex, enjoy the book!)
For My Sister
I listened to this one, fantastic audiobook! I would love to reread in text form and I also want to know what Kylie thinks of it.
A beautiful novel! A romantic fairytale meets A Little Princess? Maybe? That movie was one of our favorites growing up, so I’d love to know if my sister gets the same vibe.
Anyone else get wrecked by this movie? So many tears!!
And finally:
I couldn’t put this one down!
For My Mom
This was a book club read, might have been my favorite of the year! A fun ride of an audiobook, definitely a page turner.
Wild ride.
And new this year:
For My Cousin
She’s been reading a lot of fantasy, long epic stuff! I admire the commitment to a series! Thought this could be a palate cleanser when she is digging herself out after finishing one series, before you move onto the next. Light, happy. This one makes me smile 😊
Did anyone else enjoy a bookish holiday?
Also, if you didn’t get a chance earlier, please consider taking a minute to fill out my reader form. The better I know my readers, the better writer I will be to you all :)
Oooh, some cool books to check out!
Did your family enjoy their gifts? 🙂
